How to use sprout box / Sprout maker

Sprout box is used for preparation of sprouted food that is high in nutritive value. Sprouting increases the level of minerals and vitamins including vitamin and  Omega-3 fatty acids in the ingredients. Sprout box are available in market in various material like Clay, Wood, Stainless steel, plastic etc..

If its Clay / Terracotta sprout box needs seasoning. You have to soak the clay sprout box in water for 18-24 hrs. After that, wash with water and start making sprouts.

How to make sprouts

  1. To begin making the sprouts, soak the grains or legumes in the bowl, completely immersed in water for at least 8 to 12 hours.
  2. At this stage, drain the water. Transfer the soaked grains/legumes into sprout makers top or middle container that helps to drain the excess water and keeps moisture. Close it with lid.
  3. The process of sprouting will take at least 8 to 12 hours based on the size of the grain or legume you need to sprout.
  4. Now sprout is ready to eat.
